$100 towards $100

Join me in supporting real change in the lives of students across the country. Help us create Healthy, Happy, Connected Kids® with 100 Mile Club.

We are TEN DAYS OUT! While I cannot wait to cross the 50 mile finish line, it’s bittersweet to be coming to the end of my training period; the journey matters just as much as the destination.

I am stoked to support 100 mile club for my first ultra experience. As a hospital pediatric social worker, I have extensive experience working with physically and mentally ill children on a daily basis. As an avid runner I have also experienced the benefits that running and physical fitness can play into ones emotional and physical well-being. Running a 50 mile race with the 100 mile club seemed like the perfect way to combine two things Im passionate about; helping kids and running a heck of a lot of miles.

Next Saturday, September 30th, 2023, I will be at the start line in Norco, and I will be joining 100 Mile Club in their efforts to promote healthy and active lifestyles among students, and to prevent childhood obesity.

Just $15 can support a child for an entire YEAR in 100 Mile Club. Please consider making a small donation, to create a huge impact on a child’s life.

The 100 Mile Club Story

31 years ago one teacher, in one classroom, made a commitment to her students - to help them find joy in school and discover true personal success. With the goal to make fitness a way of life she challenged them to run or walk 100 miles in a single school year.

The success of these students led to the formation of the 100 Mile Club, an award-winning, national nonprofit organization that currently serves students in thousands of schools across all 50 states.

Who does the 100 Mile Club serve?

  • all kids
  • all regions
  • all populations
  • all abilities

The 100 Mile Club transcends race, gender, ability, socioeconomic status, and lifestyle and helps schools sustain and celebrate daily physical activity in a nonthreatening, supportive, and fully-inclusive environment.

Donations to the Saddle2Surf 2023 FundRACE will help fund the 100 Mile Club and their students, schools, and programs for years to come.
